Training
Training types
Dragons has four levels of training:
- Spikezone - for primary school kids (see our SpikeZone page);
- Junior Training Program and Academy - for high school kids (see our Junior Training Program & Academy page);
- PVL Training - for high-level players playing in PVL teams (see our PVL page); and
- General Training (see below and right)
General training is a mixed training for Phoenix League competitors and anyone who wants to improve or practice their volleyball skills. Currently we have one skill group focussing on those who can already play volleyball and wish to improve.
Training sessions generally involve a mixture of specific skills training and game practice.
Players aged about 13 to 60 enjoy these trainings.
You do not have to be playing in a team to join in at our general training.
Currently due to COVID restrictions, we do not accept casual trainers except for trial purposes.
While most attendees sign up for a year, we also accept some casual trainers when we can fit them in.
