Dragons participates in a large number of tournaments throughout the year. In fact, Dragons is known for their strong attendance at tournaments from within Brisbane to as far north as Cairns and as far south as Canberra.

Clash of the Titans

Toowoomba's Clash of the Titans is a mixed six-a-side event held in Toowoomba each March.

Dragons generally sends 2-3 teams to this tournament each year.

This tournament is suited to beginners to moderately competitive players.

 

Flaming Chalice

Dragons' very own Flaming Chalice is held each year over the Labour Day long weekend in May.

Chalice is one of the premier tournaments in Australia and attracts over 90 teams each year.

This tournament is suited to players of all skill levels.

Grand Prix

Grand Prix is a brand new set of three tournaments running between late June and early August.

Run by VQ, these series of tournaments will occur in Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coat and aims to provide more opportunities to play against the regional affiliates.

This tournament is probably best suited to moderately competitive players.

State Championships

VQ's  State Championships is a tournament held in Brisbane every August

Dragons usually sends a selection of PVL teams along.

This tournament is generally best suited to competitive to elite players.

Coffs Harbour Jacanana Tournament

CHVA runs its annual Jacanana mixed six-a-side tournament in early November.

A true staple for Dragons players, we always send at leat three teams to this fun tournament.

This tournament is suited to beginners through to serious players.

 

Good Neighbour Games

Run by Canberra Volleyball each December, this tournament is one of the only club-run tournament in Australia bigger than Flaming Chalice.

Dragons on occasion sends 1 or 2 teams to this top level tournament where it is not uncommon to see AVL teams and international teams playing.  

This tournament is suited to players of all skill levels, though Dragons have usually sent competitive to elite teams.
